Open the flap in the trunk to access, and if you can get your hands in there to rotate the bulb out, you don't need to take the assembly out. If you can't get your hands in there, then you have to undo the three 10mm bolts (see the gold pegs in the black area in the picture above) and the whole assembly will come out, just like that picture.
If referring to the license plate bulb, see https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ght-bulbs.html.
All questions relating to bulb changes have been asked and answered dozens of times in these forums. I would like to ask that the forum moderators start combining related threads so that information is easier to find. There are ~20 threads on air suspension that can be combined, ~20 threads on front brake rotors, ~20 threads on spongy brake pedal, a few threads on front wheel hubs, a few on rear wheel hubs, a few on engine oil, several on speaker replacement, dozens on "what to look for when buying a new LS430", etc.
I'm not saying combine all lighting-related threads (I know there already is one), as that would also make information difficult to search for. If someone wants to search "license plate bulb", all license plate bulb discussions should be in the one thread.
The LS430 is now old enough that the vast majority of questions have been answered, and we don't really need dozens of threads on the same topics. I think it would be a great community service to start combining threads that refer to the exact same component in the exact same location.

I think on some models you can push up on the lens and slide it over and it falls out of the bottom of it's hole. On mine a trim piece seemed to be in the way so I went through the trunk by removing the lid liner.
