Default Need new driver side door inside panel

My driver side door panel is beginning to show a little wear (coming apart) where you grab it to close.
Lexus wants over $1700 to $2700 for this one panel.

Any other alternative ideas on how to replace or fix this.

What is coming apart? The stitched area appears to be very dirty. If that is the area of concern and there are no tears in the leather or stitches torn out, I suggest a good cleaning first. Then take a sample of an interior part, such as the coin tray or arm rest to Home Depot and get a color-matched 4 oz sample of their premium interior latex paint. Then paint the entire area around the door pull, the entire area on the inside of the pull area and the flat armrest area with a small brush. I've done this many time in my car. It's really a no risk try. When you start, if the color doesn't match or looks bad, just wipe it off with a wet paper towel or rag. This method will cost you less than $5 and I think you will be pleasently pleased. I know this sounds crazy, but what have you got to lose?

Either a local junk yard, or ebay may yield a matching panel. There's a boat load of passenger side door panels on right now, but no driver's side

be careful on what you are looking for too. i wanted to find a black driver's side. but the one i did see on ebay (it was a whole set he didn't want to separate) didn't have the leather stitched on the armrest portion. it looked like it was just all plastic. i can't remember either, but it looked like the leather above the armrest, but below the wood trim had a different design too, but i am not certain on that.

Go to car-part.com

Then search for "interior trim panel, door".

There are many there.

Update to my find. I can't believe it this car is less then 1 mile from me!
Sadly, its the same year and only 65,000 miles.

And while the interior looks the same, its somehow different. The code for this vehicle's interior is LA07 and mine is LA08. Not sure what the difference is as I might grab the drivers seat as well. With that many miles, I'm thinking that seat is less used then mine at 175,000 and I was gong to rebuild mine.

Can this be fixed?

Anything can be fixed, with enough money, as you probably already know. The big concern with that one would be the frame horns and whether they can be straightened or not.

What do they want for the complete car?

You'd have to contact Gundies to find that out. They've had it over 200 days he said.

That can be fixed, bumper bar appears to be pushed back a few inches on the passenger side. Radiator support and frame extension probably need to be replaced.

the one out of the wrecked one doesn't have the leather wrap around the armrest part, does it? i can see the stitch seam in your picture, but can't tell if there is one on the wrecked one.

Didn't matter, mine is Ecru and that is Ivory, a little to much difference to go for it.
