Default how many brake sensors are there on an 02 LS 430?

I just changed my rear brakes and rotors on my 02 LS430 starting with the drivers side and didnt see a sensor until I got to the passenger side. It was getting dark and didnt have time to check and see if there was a sensor on the drivers side that had never been connected. Can anyone tell me how many sensors are supposed to be on the brakes? Front and back? Thanks in advance.

That's normal -- the sensors are only on the passenger side

The repair manual says the brake pad wear sensors for both front and rear are on the "Right" wheel. I take this to mean the passenger-side.

Thanks, I didn’t want to take everything back apart. Of course the drivers side was the side that wore down to where the rotor had a groove in it. Never got an indication or squeal until it was grinding.

Another reason to have the pad thickness measured every 5000 miles when the tires are balanced and rotated.

Agree - the sensors are a very simple mechanism. The should have been designed into each caliper rather than just on passenger side calipers.
