Default Help with identifying a plug and a wire in the engine bay

While i was changing spark plugs on the LS, i noticed a plug near the intake snorkel thing and a snapped off red wire.

anyone know what this does? Is the wire from the plug or is it completely unrelated?

Might be the Ignition Noise filter for the Right bank coils.
Does the AM radio reception seem weak, or noisy?

Do you have a check engine light on? I know the VVT sensor is a single wire sensor in that general area. The sensor is threaded into the valve cover. When mine was disconnected it threw a code within a few seconds of the engine running.

As 2KHarrier said, the red wire goes to the Noise Filter. You have 2 of these noise filters (see circled in red below)...

The replacement connectors are shown on the electrical schematic below...

Part number for these connectors (N1 and N2)...

cool, thanks guys, looks like i'll just reattach the wire to the plug. I never noticed the am/fm reception issue but maybe that's because i never heard it "good" before.

You are quite right. The link below may be somewhat useful for those who need to catch weak AM radio stations. This about a JDM UCF21 Celsior though.
