haha there was an episode of "CHiPs" where this kid got into a station wagon right in front of Ponch and Jon (they were lecturing him for skateboarding on the road), and it was headed to the beach based on the stuff on the roof. Inside were all kids, I would say about 12 y.o. incl. the driver!

Borrow/rent one and drive it for a few days. That's the best way to see if it's right for you.

I think anyone driving a LS430 needs to be at least 50 years old. If you are younger you'll look like you're driving your fathers car.
If you are over 50, then you must be at least 6 feet tall, weigh 190 pounds minimum and have an athletic build, or the car will look better than you !

lol

LOL! I'm 41. Not 50 yet. Will be there soon. Told myself I want to get one of these when I am older(midlife crisis). Saw one of these years ago for the first time and I was mesmerized. Finally test drove a LS 430. I am used to driving on a high ground clearance vehicle. Sitting on the LS 430 was a different experience. I have a Rav4 and a Sienna.

The drive was pleasant and quiet. Got all the bells and whistle I was looking for. A little rust here and there on the vehicle. Told my wife at the end I finally check out the car. She was relief I didn't buy the car. Going forward, I want to check out more LS. It was a bit of rush and I didn't really spend a lot of time in it.

On the color, the vehicle looks bigger when it's lighter color. Looks mature and smaller when it's a darker color. Just my opinion.

thanks

I think more importantly, one must be careful. The car is relatively plain, and conservative. A LS driver needs to take a good look in the mirror, and make sure they're not too sexy for this car!

We are snowbirds and really like the HUGE trunk for those 1500 mile trips each Spring and Fall.
No issue with my wife and I due to height difference. We have our own smartkey which is programmed to our driving position. We really like how the car adjust the driving position automatically depending who open the driver side door. And yes, we like the big trunk for road trip.

My only potential problem was the length of the car. The garage is full of stuffs, and literally there is ~2 inch between rear bumper and the garage door. I had to measure the garage several time before I bought the car to make sure it will fit lmao. I was not going to park her outside on the driveway.

I was 22 when I got my LS430 and everyone thought my stepdad loaned me his car. I got a lot of strange looks for a while at work until everyone realized it was mine.

I'm 5'6" and have had a couple challenges adapting to how large this car is. I came out of a very tiny BMW Z4M coupe though.

The seats offer a great amount of adjustability and anyone can find a comfortable driving position. Where I found the challenge is with the length of the car behind me, and the visibility of where the trunk ends when backing up. I do have Nav, but no backup camera on my example, so I rely totally on the visibility I have from the captain's chair. The turning radius of these cars is ridiculous though, and allows for relative ease in reversing.

I'm 23. I drive an old Ford Ranger and my 05 LS430. Most people are really confused. But until my student loans are paid off I wanted to drive the absolute best car I could afford for $10k -- the 430 is just that.

I was shocked at how tight this big ole barge can turn! It turns tighter than my old Ford Mondeo did, and that was a smaller car on 18x7.5s, not 20x8.5s

My misso is 5'3'' and gets the seat right forward in the thing. She drives it with no issues. I'm a 6'1'' 240lb gorilla and I've got room to grow in there
