Default Is the LS 430 vehicle too big for me?

I'm 5'7" tall and weight 168lb. I'm not overweight or skinny. Planning to get a LS 430 in the future. Is the LS 430 too big for me? Only sat in the 2nd row once in the past, never drive the car before. I know the car is very roomy.

Want to find out if there is anyone with my height and weight can give some feedback. I'm not trying to be rude or smart @ss. Wife said no to the car, I haven't had a chance to test drive the car yet. I don't see a lot of 430's by my area. thanks in advance.

To be honest, I don't think size matters (did that come out right?). My wife is about 5'8" and maybe lighter than you are, but in other words it isn't as if she is too short to drive the car.

When I first proposed getting a LS430, I pointed one out to her, and she said wow you want to get an old persons' car. The person driving was a little old lady maybe 75 y.o., so maybe that's why she said it.

So I am saying NO, and try driving it. If you don't like it, there's no point in getting it. The trunk is huge, I like that, and I do think it's virtually bulletproof for reliability. Not terrible terrible on fuel, and the torque is more than enough. Every once in a while I feel the need to show a large 4 cyl. car (turbo or not) that they need to realize where they are in the pecking order. In 2 yrs. of ownership, I have never even put my foot all the way down to the floor, don't need to. Good luck.

As John stated, the car can be driven by just about anyone. My wife is 5'7 and she has no problem. I get in after she's been driving it, and I forget to move the seat back and my legs won't fit under the wheel. I'm 6'1" and tip the scales at 212, and we both are comfortable driving the LS.

Im 5'9" / 160lbs and the LS430 fits me like a glove. I don't even think I have the seat at Max elevation either. I wouldn't worry about it.

Really though, only one way to find out!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The seat adjusts in a million different ways, and I find that the car drives like a much smaller car, as far as when you're going forward. I do feel its size when I'm backing up though...that just might be me though.

My wife gave me a hard time about checking out old man cars too.

The LS430 is small compared to the biggest selling vehicles in the U.S. Pickups! I wouldn't worry about it being too big.

Seat and steering wheel in the LS430 adjusts over a very wide range and should easily fit virtually any size driver. I'm about the same size with athletic build and love the seat and general fit of the LS. My wife is much smaller person and fits just fine driving the LS.

It is a large heavy sedan but drives like a dream. Smooth as glass and extremely stable on the expressway at speed. In long high speed sweepers it takes a set and just holds it with minimal fuss. We did a 5k road trip this summer across Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. The V8 in the LS430 is just amazing. The car ran like a scalded dog up in mountains, smooth, silent, powerful with tons of passing power, 26mpg on average (at 75mph) on a mix of regular and premium tanks of gas, and at idle can't tell it is running.

i'm short. 5'6" and as others have said the seat & steering wheel adjust to get you to a comfortable setting. when the car was my wife's, she drove it daily for 7 years. and she is like 5'4"

I'm 5'6 and the car feels a bit big compare to what i had before. But it drives very easily for reasons mentioned above.

If you are hesitating, you should not hesitate to try the GS350/430 and decide which one suits you the most.

I'm 5'11 and weigh 182lbs, the LS430 has to be the most comfortable car I've owned, I too thought in the beginning of ownership that it would be to big, but now...it doesn't even cross my mind. BTW: OP, I have a 02 UL w/83k Miles f/s if you might be interested...!

My mom is not quite 5 ft. She loves hers and has no plans to have anything else. For the LS 430, I'd say in this case, size does not matter.

My wife is 5'2" and loves the car, has no issues with the size. And when I get in, I just touch the #2 setting for the driver's seat.

We are snowbirds and really like the HUGE trunk for those 1500 mile trips each Spring and Fall.
