Question I want a 2jz in my Ls430.

So a while ago i posted a thread about putting a newer model Lexus V8 in my 2001 LS430, and many people told me,this was not a very smart idea. I then thought to my self "why not a 2jz" it would be the same year as my car and have VVTI. I would like to know what i should look into as far research go's because i'm not the type of person to just drop large amounts of money without a plan. I also noticed that it has been done before, but the videos where just someone showing it off and no explanation of the process. I also want to point out that something like this wont happen for years because I want to get as much as I can out of my 3UZ-FE V8 as I can and I plan to fix the whole car up overall.

If you plan to get as much as you can out of your 3uz you may not end up ever doing an engine swap. Lol

I’ve thought a lot about this through. My 430 was a garaged Palm Beach Florida car its whole life. If the engine ever went the chassis would be worth using on some project. Personally, I’d drop a GM LS V8 in the thing. Sacrilege, maybe, but that sound coming out of a 430 would be priceless.

I personally plan to get a minimum of 300,000 - 400,000 miles out of the 3UZ-FE. I feel at some point I really want to do the swap because it will be better on gas. The 2JZ will be easier to work with. and there is a lot of after market support for the 2JZ.
