External Transmission Oil Cooler?
Has anyone installed an external transmission oil cooler on their LS430? Obviously the stock cooling system works fine, and we can even get a towing package radiator stock...but I want to provide maximum cooling, these A650E's are tough but they run pretty hot with the stock cooling system.
I gather that adding an external cooler can increase the live expectancy of the transmission.
Looking for any suggestions as to which brands of oil coolers are recommended.
However, I am interested in additional cooling but am wondering if anyone has experience with external radiators?
How would I go about determining how large the external radiator should be?

Unless you are driving in a very hot climate, and at hight speeds for long periods dally, will not worry about it.
Fluids is designed to operate optimally in a relatively smal temp rand. Cool fluids almost as bad as too hot.
As long you are a normal dally driver the max you will need is the cooler that is built into the radiator. Going withe external cooler it is recommended to have a baby-pas type thermostat to control the fluid temp.
