Anyone own a LS 430 and GS 430?
Which one you think is better:
- Ride Quality
- Sportiness
- Cabin Noise
I been looking for a 2005 - 2006 Lexus LS 430 and not having much luck. I know the LS has more bells and whistles when compare to the GS. I went to FB Market Place and saw a bunch of GS 430 for sale. I was thinking, should I go and look for a GS 430 instead? Let me know what you guys think.
thanks

I own both and both are very nice cars. LS rides better and is a little more quiet. The GS430 also rides nice but is more sporty then the LS. LS has more room and a larger trunk. Different cars but as I stated, both are of very high quality. I prefer the 2006 LS and the 06/07 GS 430...

We own a GX460, GS400, and SC430 but the dealer loaned me an LS430 for the weekend once. It's a really nice car but I like the sportiness of my GS400 which is my daily driver.
I really don't have a favorite I like them all lol.

I own a 2003 LS 430 with 178,000 miles. Car is ultra quiet, rides incredibly smooth compared to the other 3 cars I have owned (2009 Hyundai genesis for a few months as a loaner, 2002 Honda Accord SE which i hated, and a 2002 jeep liberty which my family drove into the ground and never serviced.) I've had it for around 30,000 miles in one year, and I plan on getting this car past 400k miles. Incredibly quiet on the highway, averages over 28mpg on long trips, very comfortable car.

i had an 01 GS430 when my wife had this LS430. when i had my GS, i preferred to drive that. i thought the seats were comfier than the LS. to be honest, she had an ES330 prior to the LS, and i really thought those seats were the best out of all 3 cars.

- Cabin Noise - I think LS maybe a bit quieter, but not much. I think LS has better coefficient of drag/better aerodynamic. I did not drive them back to back so cabin noise is hard to judge.
We choose LS because we need a car that can be our long distance trip car. LS has better softer ride, and larger trunk and backseat. LS is not ideal for driving in town and running errands due to the boat like handling (it does handle well for a boat this size), overall size and gas mileage, but we can live with those. Wife also like the LS better, which is important lol

I'm going to do a test drive on the GS 430 this weekend to get a feel. I had driven a GS 300 like 9 years ago and I like the ride, quiet cabin and handling. The GS 430 with more torque, I want to see the difference. My Rav4 has a V6 and I love it. A V8 might be even better.

The LS 430 has plenty of torque as well and moves pretty quick for a 4,000 pound land yacht, as long as it's in a straight line. I'd rather not roll the car over flying through a corner.
