Hood Ornament For 2002 LS430
In the past (when I was a kid and even way before that, radiator caps evolved into hood ornaments for each car company. Lexus, as y'all know, does not have a hood ornament. I purchased a 2002 LS430 new (Millennium Silver) and have driven and maintained it very well; even garaging it every night. Both the interior and exterior look virtually brand new. Detailing my cars has been a hobby of mine and I primarily use the Zaino line of detailing products. Plus, the car euns great.
Unfortunately, last Tuesday evening it was brutally attacked by a couple of mailboxes suffering 4+ grand of damage. I want to keep this car even it is declared totaled by our insurance company. In its restoration, a major hood repair or replacement will be necessary.
Hence my question: I have always been a Packard aficionado and am considering adding either the stainless steel reproduction of a pre-1951 Cormorant or the earlier Flying Lady hood ornament. Opinions, please. And has anyone ever seen a hood ornament on a Lexus? If so, what was it? and how did it look?
Pictures of both are on this page: https://www.bing.com/images/search?q...nt&FORM=IRIBIP
Thanks.

Well, I can't say I've ever seen a hood ornament on a Lexus, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. I say find one you like, Spirit of Ecstasy, Cormorant, heck, even a Pontiac Chieftain..
Figure out a mount and enjoy...

Not exactly the style of the car, IMO.
