2005 TPMS Disabled
When I purchased our 2005 LS430 several years ago, the owner proudly remarked that his mechanic disabled the TPMS system as it was more trouble than it’s worth. My wife now drives this car and she recently ruined a tire because she didn’t notice the tire pressure was low. She wants the TPMS system working.
I have no idea how it was disabled. There are no error messages. Does anyone know where I should start? Could it be as simple as a fuse?

Thank you gentlemen! I will explore the Techstream solution. If anyone can confirm this is the correct route or knows exactly what to look for, your assistance is much appreciated.

I've had a couple flats in the almost 6 years and the TPMS did not go off either time. Recently I had a slow leak and the leaky tire would go down to 20 psi from 32 and TPMS would not go off. How many people can say that their TPMS has successfully warned them that a tire was going flat? I do not even bother to set it anymore. sad

I’m dealing with this exact problem right now with my front two wheels. They lose air at almost exactly the same rate, it’s very strange. Anyway, how did you fix it? Take the tires off and sand the bead surface?

I paid a local rim shop to take off the tires and machine the sealing surface. Can’t remember what I paid, but it fixed the problem.
