Fog light fuse keeps blowing
I've searched and can't find the answer to this. My fog lights worked fine with no issues for years. I recently noticed they were not working even though the indicator light in the dash showed them as switched on. I checked the fuse and it was blown. I replaced the fuse, turned on the lights and the fuse blew immediately.
I checked the connections to both bulbs and they seemed fine. I disconnected and reconnected, still no luck. I disconnected the lights and tried the switch and the fuse still blew.
What should I check next? Is this common?
Thanks for any help.

I don't know about the LS430, but on a GM car, common. Happened to my wife's car for the DRLs (non LED). I googled and come to find known issue with GM, and their solution was to put a higher wattage bulb (can't make it up). HUH? Did some more digging and it led me to a Jeep forum. One guy stated anytime he had a bulb repeatedly burning out, turned out to be the socket, not the bulb (in my case, put in a new bulb, worked, next day, out again).
So I checked my wife's socket and lo and behold, it had a burned appearance. Got a new socket, put some dielectric grease, and sure enough, good ever since. I was really amazed that GM had a TSB to their technicians to change the bulbs from 3157 to 4114, across all the cars for about 20 years. That is like from memory going from 27 to 31.x watts. From my physics classes imho that's the last thing you want to do, but what do I know....
