Tanabe NF210 lowering springs
Sorry to start a new thread on this and I know there are already a good amount that exist, but more opinions and experiences never hurt.
My oem chrome wheels are slowly leaking and I don't feel like spending the money to fix/refinish them so I bought new wheels. While I'm at it, I really want to lower the car by an inch. Tanabe NF210 springs seem like the best bet because I don't want to sacrifice my ride quality (also why I stayed with 18" wheels). Since lower shocks don't exist for this car, I'd be buying new KYB shocks -- has anyone had these springs on for the long term, and if so have your stock length shocks held up?

Exactly the insight I'm looking for thanks. Are you using the original shocks that came with the car or did you buy new ones? Also, any pics of your setup?

Does anyone else have any experiences to share?

Provide a nice ride height, reduce the wheel gap. I replaced my socks with the sport edition from Lexus. It had the standard suspension. It does provide a little bit handling but it's no euro sport sedan

i'm in the same boat. i bought a set of never used springs. but i'm still on my original struts (204k miles). so i'm waiting until i get the money for new struts before putting the springs on. my issue that i'm worried about is if i put the springs on, am i going to have issues due to the 20" wheels i'm now running on the car.

Tanabe lowering springs
I installed them on my 2004 Lexus ls430 which had sport suspension package. Used the MyLparts website, as Sewell did not have the Sport struts at that time, for OEM Sport struts front and rear. The Tanabe springs only lower approximately 1/2" from stock so no problems matching up with the Sport struts. The ride is still good, just not as plush as standard suspension but the handling is much better and the car stays flatter through the turns. Strut part numbers were listed in a previous thread and very helpful. As an aside, the front lower control arms are the same for stock versus Sport but the upper control arms carry a different part number both OEM and aftermarket for the Sport model, perhaps slightly stiffer bushings. The Sport suspension model also has a stiffer sway bar. I also changed out the control arms, lower ball joints. Found the Mevotech website and wholesaler had mixed up the left and right lower ball joints in their catalogs- the tie rod end hole in the arm has to slant down to the outside for correct fitting.

Hi, new LS owner here wanting to put on the NF210 on stock shocks too. After 15 years and 122miles on the stock shocks is it advisable to just put on the springs? Anyone here on just springs and stock shocks for a high mileage LS? Thanks,

If you're going through the trouble of taking everything apart then you would be foolish to not replace the shocks.
