Nope, the fuel rail will lift up slightly and allow you to slide out the gaskets.

Hey guys, I replaced these fuel dampers with OEM ones and it seems that I've got the opposite result. The vibration of the engine increased and you feel it inside the cabin.

What can I do?

(1994 LS400)
I just replaced my fuel damper. OEM part is discontinued and replaced by part#23270-50012 (mentioned earlier in this thread).

Haven't drive tested yet. BUT the screw on top of damper does not move positions when car is off, or idle, or reved up. And my engine ticking noise is slightly lowder now with new damper.

Thoughts?
Thank you

Can you post images of both dampers?

Default Is torque wrench necessary?

Hello, great write up. Did you use a torque wrench or did you just use a regular 22 n ratchet?

Have you looked at possible carbon build up in the engine? Has the throttle body been inspected for possible ineffective work causing wrong airfuel mixture?

Thank you for feedback. Our fuel system does not have any complexity compared to German cars and every aspect of parts it consists of is important.

I just used the wrench. Do not forget to use new gaskets. Good luck!

I do believe returnless fuel system in cars like ls430 requires (!) clean fuel filter, properly working fuel pump and appropriate fuel pressure (!) all the way from gas tank to the injectors in the fuel rails.

So far I am extremely happy with this DIY and recommend forum members to look at these parts if you want to restore Lexus smoothness if other methods haven’t worked or if you are just considering a substantial improvement in quality of your everyday rides to work.
Hello.
You you still here!
a week ago friday my 2001 gs430 thrown the fault code on the way home and straight away realised the engine power is so turned down..
at home checked the code and p0325 knock sensor.
Silly question ,but maybe faulty damper causing knock.sensor code? Just because there is a video and this tapping noise very likely coming from the damper.
Cheers
