Upon acquisition one year ago, the non-chrome 5 spoke 18" wheels on my LS 430 were in less than stellar shape. 2 had noticeable curb rash and a third had non-repairable damage. The fourth was OK and I've never inspected the spare.

Keeping an eye out for a better set finally paid off over the weekend. A local Craigslist ad offered a set of 4 OEM chrome 18" 5 spoke wheels with already mounted Michelin Primacy MXV4 96V tires for $550. The wheels are damage-free without any flaking or peeling and the tires show even wear and about 8/32" tread.

Not sure how fair the price was, but I'm tickled to have found a nice set that was local.

That's a good deal . Just make sure it's OEM. They have some aftermarket out there. "OEM style"

Yes, am well aware of the knock-offs and their pricing. These are, as the thread title states, OEM.

Sounds fair enough. Being local of course is a plus. Being chrome, if there are no signs of rust you are a hero!

I would be all over that. I'm not a huge fan of the chrome wheels, but it sounds like a steal.

With the temperature breaking 60 today, I cleaned up the set and mounted them on the car. One rim has a very small bit of barely noticeable curb rash while the other 3 are nice. The tires were manufactured in 2013, about a year before Michelin discontinued production of the Primacy MXV4, so hopefully they will be good for awhile before needing to switch back to the Continentals that were on the car when acquired. Meanwhile, the original 18 inch wheels can be sent out for refinishing.

All in all, a good deal made especially sweet by being local.

These are my favourite wheels. Unfortunately my car has the 17s with brand new Cinturato P7s, so even if I were to come across a clean set of the 18s I would just hang onto them until my tires wear out.
