Yes a check engine light, no vibration.
Just noise from exiting exhaust gases

01 ls430 "w/the fridge in the back"

i have a bank one engine light and looking at cheap $150 amazon replacement of one cat, (been reading that should replace two at the same time) in the meantime before i do full exhaust.

*car also has some exhaust leak i can hear under the car when i open the car door so going to have to replace cats and back exhaust. might possibly do muffler delete or try to keep stock exhaust and just redo from cats to mufflers.

Any budgeted performance replacements or options under a g. vs cheap way to get the money light (check engine light) to come off.

I saw a obd2 sensor spacer be mentioned but the thread didnt go anywhere.

I just went back to 17 stock from 20's im just trying to get the quietest ride possible...but if i am forced to do the exhaust system i may have to reconsider and buy the family gx470 and let my ls430 breathe properly....

hoping its can be throttle body and o2 sensor fixes the hessitation issue.
Car is seems to cough a bit when mash the pedal and now throwing vsc / brake wear after recent brake pad sensor replacement.

Its about to hit 200k miles so i just joined this thread to keep it while i build it how i plan.

If you have a code for the downstream O2 sensor and a slight exhaust leak, then chances are the leak is causing the code and both the CAT and the O2 sensor are both fine.
Mine had a crack in the flange on the Y-pipe where it connected to the primary CAT on the left bank.
Once repaired, no more codes and still fine 18 months later. 😁

Issue: The catalytic converter flange is rusted and deteriorating away causing a leak between the flange to the Y-pipe.
See photos below. I also put up a photo of the "good side" to see the difference in appearance.
Thanks for posting the pics. I bet that is where my leak is! You have no idea who many times I have crawled under my car and try to figure out where the leak is. I know the pipe does not have any holes but I keep getting an error every so often. I am pretty sure the O2 sensor is most likely ok, so just a matter of finding the small leak.

On one of these cold days when you start a car and exhaust 'smoke' and water vapor pours out of your tail pipes?....get on your side and look UNDER your vehicle at your exhaust pipes/connection points/etc. You just might see the 'smoke' and water vapor wafting from where your exhaust leak(s) is/are.

finally got it to the muffler shop. ordered some catts and pipe exhaust from ebay. fit horribly was hanging down and leaking from the flanges, so it stayed at the shop while they fix the droopy y pipe, so low woulda been scratching on a normal street. They gna cut and weld it so it still came in handy. the labor Cost me cheapest shop... (maybe why it was droopy.) $250+$30 to fix the droopy ebay exhaust. the parts i think were around $200 .... .lets see if i can fix the cat w/install less the $500.

and I also fixed the previously mentioned "hesitation issue by getting a MAF sensor from oreilly i think was about $80 or $130.. and damn there was all the lost power back.
but now Its making some kind of noise think its the driveshaft or some kind of bearing...

will take pics and stuff with new 02 sensors and ebay cats and y pipe.....
I had forgotten i posted on this site about this and im just now getting it fixed over a year later... she still hangin on... maybe even pass inspection soon.

50% acetone and 50% tranny fluid and let it soak for a few days. Try to heat with MAP gas before. Use an impact wrench and correct impact socket, should come off.
