I do have sound when playing through either bluetooth or USB connection. I also have sound for FM tuner, just not for the factory CD changer.
vredniykot , There are 2 audio "white&Red " wires carry out the sound of CD changer from plug of CD changer which must be connected to Screen audio Aux in.
These 2 white wires ,technician had to cut them to make sound go to car system. Here also these wires are cut in other plug.

There are no factory plugs that that thing plugs into.
What "main line" are they talking about?
Steering wheels volume controls do work, from home screen press the icon with red/yellow/pink/green squares on it, then flick the screen to the left once, there is an app on the second page of the screen named "steering wheel", you have to open it and it will have a bunch of options/buttons listed, you have to press "start" then "vol+" and it will highlight yellow, then press volume up button on the steering wheel and the highlighted "vol+" will go black, that means it accepted the command. Do the same for volume down button with the corresponding "vol-" button on the screen.
Hit "end" when done.
As it's my topic, I had to open my dashboard to take some pictures of my 2002 LS430 connection of this unit.
Now every thing works fine, volume, steering control mode except some issues mentioned below
1- you have to do some cut of unit wires and modifications of wires to make it works, please see attached pictures to help you .
2- I still have some issues such as :
a) car FM, CD changer and screen music, video.....if I play car cd audio or FM and music app on screen, they are both working at the same time.
b) if I want to play music or video on screen apps , I have to press CD button twice or sometimes many presses then I click on the screen music app.
Finally, I hope someone can find solutions for the mentioned issues.

Thanks for the tip.
so basically, the red/white RCA wires that are coming out of the CD changer plug have to be connected to the red/white RCA plugs that are labeled "AUX L IN" and "AUX R IN" that are in the bunch of RCA wires that are coming out of the unit on the other plug, the one with a bunch of yellow video input plugs. Now my CD changer's sound works.
Can you please give us the unit wiring diagram , because mine is functioning different..
Here you go, hopefully this will make sense.
I did not label the black plug that is to the left of Mystery plug#1, this black plug plugs into the back of the unit itself.
on the back of the CD changer there are 2 plugs, the one where "CD CH" plug goes and another one that is about twice as small, that smaller plug remained factory.
On this pic please note the RCA cables connected, this is what makes the sound from CD changer go into the system. There is still an "AUX out" set of RCA's if you want to hook up an aftermarket amp.
so it seems that the mystery plug #2, at least the male end of it, is what fits into the 3rd and smallest plug on the back of the factory climate controller screen
the only problem is that i do not have a 3rd plug on my stock climate controller harness so i have nothing to splice these wires into
above pic stolen from ebay...
contacted the rep about it... and she's like: oh, go ahead and "try" splicing this extra plug into the purple and green pair, and close the loop on the plugs....
I said: no, not going to "try it", you tell me to do it and i'll do it, i don't want to burn something and be liable...

Did you do any modification of these wire ..means did you cut some wires to connect them to other wires?
i swear, these people that made this unit, there have got to be notes, or drawings or diagrams of some sort, one can't just dream this stuff up.
how hard was it to print a wiring diagram and include it with the darn stereo? frustrating!!!
