Specific Instructions for Wiring Dayton Sub to 16ohms?

There is zero need for heavy duty speaker wires to the sub (or any of the speakers) in the LS430 as long as you are using the stock ML amp. The ML amp is relatively anemic putting out pretty modest real RMS watts/power.

OP, if you do decide to replace ML sub with Dayton, please do provide pictures of the wirings before installation. I have been thinking of replacing my ML with Dayton and the only thing that stop me is bi-wiring the sub. I didn't want to take a chance and burn out my ML amp. Looking forward for some picture. TIA.
Just incase you want to avoid removing the backbeats, this thread will help. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...t-removal.html

Someone wanted Long Term feedback. Well, I am now 5+ years in on my Dayton Audio SD215A-88 8" DVC install.
It's still working well, still sounds great, and the suspension looks new (I popped the cover off at the weekend when vacuuming the interior).
It does have a rubber surround/suspension so not likely to degrade like the ML OEM Sub with it's foam suspension.
