Its only been a year since I've had a Lexus in my life, but its felt like forever. I'm ecstatic to finally have an LS430! I've been searching just about every day for the past 5 months and finally found the right one. It is a 2004 custom luxury edition with saddle interior and suede headliner with 148,000 miles. Exterior color is black onyx 202, and not a lick of rust on the car since its from Texas. I contacted the individual who owned the car who bought it for his mother, but she could not longer drive it due to her vertigo. The car is very well cared for by its previous owners. It made it to Minnesota with zero issues whatsoever, and made the trip the most comfortable road trip I've ever been on! It got about 26 MPG the whole way which is pretty good. I can't wait to go on more road trips with it!
I still fell like I stole my 04 black on black, 162k miles for 5k from a dealer lol.
Love the colors on yours for sure. I bet that trunk button is fubar'd being a black Texas car. Wheels make me jealous too. Hope all your needs were met!
That is beautiful... Miles are irrelevant on these cars -- seats, steering wheel and shift **** still look new. All you have to do is polish up those headlights and you have a real stunner. Congrats!
I found it on craigslist. Every couple days I would go on searchtempest (a nationwide Craigslist search website) to look for this car. That's what I would do if you really want to find a nice one. Autotrader is a good place to look as well if you don't mind getting cars from the dealer.
Without question, that car is beautiful outside AND inside! I wished I had waited for a custom lux with saddle interior!!!!!
I will say good luck on the black exterior though. After buying a black vehicle several years ago (F150) I'll never ever buy another black exterior again. I know we all have different preferences and all, and when shopping used, you have to take what you can get, but my personal future will never own another black vehicle because of dust, swirl marks, microscratches, too hot in summer, etc, etc. (Even when I'm retired with endless time on my hands, and keep it garaged and wash it every week and dust it daily with a California car duster, no more black cars for me!)
I believe $8k was a great price too!!! Congrats again!

I used to own a 2000 ES300 with the same exact black paint, so I'm all too familiar with the upkeep of a black car. I'll be waxing it at least every season, and probably once a month in June, July, and August. Luckily, up here in MN the sun isn't nearly as damaging as it is in the south. I just need to make sure I don't park next to sprinklers in parking lots or I'm screwed... Hard water spots that get baked in the sun are nearly impossible to get out, and they completely etch through the clear coat. Owning a black car like this has its disadvantages, but if worse comes to worse I can always get the car resprayed since I'm positive I'll never be selling the car.
