What Da Ya Think of Headrests
I think they are fair to poor. Unlike my Touareg which telescopes forward keeping even pressure on your head, and i.e. Benz's where the lower section of headrest pivots into the nape of your neck, ours tips forward and hyper flexes your neck with increasing contact but on the top of your head. Anyway hope others like it.

Maybe its me then I got big honking shoulders so I prolly sit unnaturally away from them. Have thought of a 3 inch thick pillow top, I work with leather and sewing would be easy use tempurpedic foam. Got the day off what about my hood release I am gonna spray the latch anything else.

100% agree. They are lame for this caliber of car. The ones in my buddy’s A6 are fantastic because they telescope outwards or inwards based on where you want em

My first seats did sag terribly, these have been really good. Aside form minimal lateral support, thought about also sewing up some side bolsters, I like the seats to give credit where credit is due for me, the deck is so adjustable for as well as my shoulders also my big but so I have leg support.

These cars are old, so I am ok fixing small things here and there. I kinda enjoy it.

I don't need something holding my head is a predetermined position while i'm driving. You really need to be able to move your head while driving for safety's sake. Sounds like yet another "technical solution looking for a solution". We are entering the age of too much of that.

Did ya ever sit in a headrest like this? they are part of the 20 way sport seats. If the neck is not straining to recover for side to side gravity even on an incremental level the muscles get less fatigued. I make orthopedic braces scoliosis, clubfoot up the chain the righting response to keep your head looking straight ahead with the whole body in closer to neutral position contributes to less muscle fatigue, tightness and improved alignment shoulder strain upper back fatigue etc. I once fit a pair of orthopedic shoes on a flatfoot gal waiting for foot orthotics to come in from my lab. She came back for the orthotics with the shoes a month later "My heels are little bit better but my lifelong history of headaches disappeared with these ugly orthopedic shoes". Thats where the leatherwork comes in building braces from scratch I work with alot of wicked problems buy whole hides at a time.
But I digress to each his won if the headrests are good for you I envy you its all good I have some arthritis in my neck!
