A/C freon top up ?
My air condition works and has never been serviced. Is it a bad idea to have it evacuated and refilled with new refrigerant ? I use it only once in a while
Asking because I lost my last old car because of A/C failure and DONT WANT IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN with the LS

Only place I would trust is Lexus to do this.
Why? Because I worked at a oil change place that also did ac charges...They have no business doing more than loosening a drain plug. Im not 100% sure if 0% of the oil gets sucked out of it 50% or 100% ( I wouldnt think 100% though).
BUT, A/c systems use rubber o rings that they claim can dry out and leak. The Pag oil is what is supposed to lubricate them as well as other parts in the system. If you ever lose freon its because you have a leak, no other way for it to escape. Ive heard myths about evacuating the freon and recharging to help the seals last longer, but...in a 100% sealed system there is no where for the oil to go. Basically you just run it till it doesnt work (compressor siezes or makes noise, or freon leaks out), at that point you recharge with black light dye, run the system and find the leak. It can fail other ways though as well (low psi sensor, high psi sensor, expansion valve). Proper way to diagnose is to use some A/c gauges, if psi is there but system not kicking on it could be compressor or sensor, if no psi...leak.
Dont fix what isn't broke. Ive been doing my own a/c work for 5-10 years. Funniest part about it, you can not legally release freon into the atmosphere, yet they knowingly fill a system to capacity that leaks.
If you have money to burn go for it, but in my mind you are not really extending the life of anything by doing it.
