06 ls430 issues
just wanted to get some feedback from members. I have a 2006 LS430 with very low miles, only 31,000. I bought the car almost a year ago and I love it. There are a few small issues that I wanted to check in to see if others owners have the same proble.
1. small rattles in the cabin that is excerbated by uneven/crappy roads. I am worried that getting coilovers will make this problem even worse...
2. cold start, the car takes awhile to crank. I read that it might be normal.
3. small tinnnnny vibration in the steering wheel - got way better after road force balance but something is still there (maybe im just crazy?)
Thanks everyone
Howie

I want to know more about nr3.
I heard something about the front upper control arms. I,m thinking about replacing them just to be sure. Maybe fitting them with some powerflex bushings....
Hope you get your problems fixed real quick!

#1 not sure.
#2 normal. There was even a thread on how to start the car believe it or not (normally one doesn't give it any thought, right?). My car's history when new said owner complained cranks too long to start and fuel pump replaced 2X. I think my rear seat has play as a result.
#3 vibration or sound? If sound, I believe it's the factory OE brake pad shims being missing, if there are factory pads installed. It allows the pads to slightly shift. But if vibration, I had one when I got the car, and got LCA bushings replaced (no effect), wheels rebalanced (no effect), and alignment (suddenly good?). YMMV....

- You need to pinpoint where those rattles are coming from. A well sorted 430 will not have a single rattle anywhere over any bump
- sometimes the cars crank longer than some are used to, but if you feel it’s excessive there may be a problem. You cannot “prime” the fuel system by turning the key to the on position like you can in most cars. Instead the fuel pump only starts working when the key is turned all the way to start position

the rattle sounds like the speakers in the front doors. not 100% positive but I think it can be attributed to me blasting music.
I have to turn the volume to 25-30 when I stream via grom(bluetooth).
