20’s and some loose change
I have owned an 01, 02, and currently an 06 LS430. I have 20” wheels and the car drives perfectly with no vibration. However, I do feel the road thru the steering wheel a little more, which is normal and also hear a little more road noise. Problem I have been trying to track down is a noise that sounds like keys jingling or loose change that happens when driving over certain surfaces like bridges or raised concrete.
On 16” stock wheels and snow tires the noise is gone.
Its hard to locate but sounds like it is either coming from the steering column area or underneath the car under the driver area.
On my 01 it was an exhaust clamp, so I know to watch for those, but on my 02 (sold) and now my 06 are making the same noise and all exhaust clamps are tight.
Heat shields?
