I had Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus and was very satisfied with the ride quality and low (to no) road noise. I recently gave Michelin MXM4 Primacy a shot and must say I am happy with these as well. They are very responsive and quiet. I do however like the tread pattern on the Bridgestone better but you can't go wrong with either.

I'm keeping an eye out for some stock 17" for my winter tires. I'm not a big fan of all season tires. I'm sure I can find a summer tire that is quieter, I'll wear these out first, and that I'm sure will take awhile since I am on ice tires for 4 or 5 months of the year. Reminds me to see what's on the local craigslist.

I purchased my '05 late last year and recently changed the winters over to MXM4s which were already mounted on the 18" rims. I can't compare them to any other 245/45-18 tires because I haven't had any but I can compare them to some economy 225/60-16s I'm running on our 98 LS400. For a more comfortable ride and minimal road noise, the 16s win hands down. However, the 18s are superior in handling. I'm uncertain at this point, but when the Primacys wear out I may replace the 18" wheels with 16 inchers. I will give it more time to see if I develop more of a liking for the ride of the larger tire. If I do start liking the tires better, I'll look back at this thread's suggestions for my next set.
