I'll post a pic later on when I am outside giving the LS a bath. I use a suction cup with a short bendable arm and magnetic mount. The magnetic mount and the wireless charger are incompatible with each other.
Power for the phone is routed under the window molding trim and down to the fuse panel in the drivers footwell. Easy to tap in always on power here and piggyback a fused always on power source. Neat and clean. Yes I can see it when I am driving, I can use it too, that's the idea.

I ordered the tape deck mount.
It's not a one hand maneuver to put the phone in and out but it is sturdy and most importantly is out of the front view and not obstructing rest of the controls or vents

Will test it out and report back after a while

Default Best phone holder

Looking for recommendations for the best current phone holder. Searched the forum, but all I can find is year old posts. I have an iphone 11. Would use phone for navigation, etc.

Expensive, but worth it. Better than the cheap crap on Amazon that clips to your vents or sticks to your windshield. I love mine.

For the Pro Clip, once you install it, how do you attach your phone to it?

Get the mount, then the appropriate sized sleeve for your phone then it just slides into it. Very easy.

Add the holder to your cart, then there is an option to configure your device to select the right sized holder to accommodate your phone and whatever case you have on it.

Looks pretty sturdy. I didn't read all the instructions. Does it require screws which make holes in any part of our console? I'm just curious if it were removed, will it leave holes?

No screws, in clips into place. If you go to their product page and look for the installation manual, you can see exactly how it installs on the LS430.

Default Phone holder?

I've been using the windshield mounted one from my Ram, and it works great, but I need to use my sunscreen in the Lexus and that means removing the thing every time, which I'm getting tired of doing. So what works great in the Lexus that is NOT mounted on the windshield and that I can leave mounted permanently and is a solid mount? I'm also looking for a horizontal mount for navigation.

I've used this one in most of my vehicles now. You can get very creative about where you mount it due to it's small size:
