Default Exhaust drone noise

I've got a stock exhaust system for a Singapore spec LS430 and I had both rear mufflers only removed and replaced with straight pipes all the way to the back of the car. It sounds great and I love it, except for between about 1800-2100RPM where the exhaust drone noise is terrible. The volume is perfect at all other revs and it's definitely not "too loud" except for between those revs. What's the best cheap solution (hope that's not an oxymoron...) here to keep that sound without the drone? Can I just get the resonator in the middle of the exhaust system replaced with a bigger one so I don't have to fit 2 new mufflers on the rear?

I’ve been wondering the same thing since I run straight pipe as well. I believe you could add a cheap resonator or two to quiet it down a bit.

If you have stock everything and you just removed the stock mufflers thats why its droning even if you replace the stock res with aftermarket with no mufflers it will still drone best bet is to get mufflers or use a lot of sound deadening in the trunk well hope this helps you out a bit, i have 3rd cat delete aftermarket vibrant high flow res and drift dialect cannon ball mufflers and theres no drone for me

J-pipes would probably solve your issue

I also recently got a muffler delete done on the car, I applied some sound deadening material in the trunk and it has helped! im planning on doing even more sound deadening in the coming weeks.

Ive been tempted to add one of these as I heard they are perfect to reduce droning:
