I'm surprised no one said they use theirs as a drift car

I use mine almost exclusively for driving medium to long distances (50 miles or more) with my wife as a passenger. We make such trips regularly. The LS430 is too thirsty for in-town daily driving and my other cars (VW diesels) are better for that. I plan on keeping the LS430 a long time and want the VWs to suffer the wear and tear of daily driving.

I tried, it said BEEP BEEP BEEP. LOL.

I dont think it has enough power. Maybe stripped down and suspension like steel rods it would do ok. 2jz, 1jz, LS swapped would help. Youre basically dealing with a stripped down race car with 1 seat in it at that point with no amenities. Its probably controllable with a long wheel base though.

It's my only car. I don't want or need another car. Why have a luxury car if you can't/don't enjoy using it?

I use my '01 as a daily driver, but sometimes I'll drive our van just to give it a rest and keep the van moving. Plus we use it for weekend trips sometimes. On a side note, my wife won't drive my LS...says it's too big and complicated. I was hoping she would fall in love with it so I could hunt for another one.

Daily driver / commuter in rotation with the 600, SC and 560. I had a 120 mile / day commute for the last year so having the 4 in rotation kept them from burning up. The 240 is semi retired at this point.

I agree having different choices keeps it interesting; but the 430 is the quietest and smoothest by far of any in the fleet. It's also a real workhorse; for 4 years it was my DD until the 560 arrived.

my 2002 with 178k on it now. Its my daily, love it. Probably the best car Ive ever owned. I've owned some cooler/more fun cars but overall this is probably "the best" car I've owned when it comes to ride, comfort and how reliable its been. My wife has a 2015 CX5 that we use on the weekends and on road trips but I kinda wish we could take the Lexus on trips because its so smooth and just eats up the highway miles like nothing but I'd rather not jam it full of luggage and the inevitable eating/making a mess that happens on road trip.

Mine drifts nicely. All ya need is a p0420 error code (exhaust leak) and it disables the VSC and Traction control (I never did understand why an emissions issue disables 2 major safety features).
Once I get the leak fixed it will drift no more, but it has plenty of power to light up both rear tyres on dry asphalt at will.

Mine is a daily driver/commuter. I do 500 miles per week in heavy traffic so need the comfort/serenity as an antidote to the sea of brain-dead morons out there.
