Default what is this wire?

On the drivers side undercarriage near the O2 sensor I have a flat wire that has rotted through or got burned up. Anyone know what it's for and/or where it goes to? It's behind the O2 sensor in these pictures. Looks like some kind of ground.

That's one of many system ground wires. Even though the terminal is rather rusty it still looks intact and the wire braid appears fine also. The contact point on the terminal is likely OK if you were to unscrew the nut but I'd leave it alone if it were mine...

Thanks. Actually, the wire doesn't go anywhere anymore, it's just dangling from the nut. It either corroded through or got burned up by the exhaust. I do have one electrical problem with my trunk closer which is still a mystery even after replacing the latch motor and the trunk fuse box. Maybe it's related.
