I went looking to replace my '01 with either an '05 or '06 late last year.... In CA, these cars can demand between $12-15K and I never found one without more issues than my '01 and decided to keep it (after investing in struts and LCA bushings).

That color is rare but you are very wise to check out how the car was maintained.... I would not pay over $10K.... maybe $8500, tops... if the service history is acceptable...

Agree. Right now, no service history other than the Asin label (90k). Carfax shows one oil change. Sacramento private sale 04-06 (low 100's, well maintained, 1-2 owners, ML) are around 10. Local dealer has a perfect 04 ML (Blue Onyx, 70k, full dealer maintain) for 12.5 but it's been listed for almost a year. Am going to look at an 04 Premium (96k, 90TB, service history). Flint Mica. Asking is 9.9

You're right. There's no way I'll get the history. Seller seems to think he can get info from the dealer that did the work. Haven't heard back from him so not counting on it.

Decided to pass on this one. There are several very nice LS's in the area for reasonable prices.
