The color actually matches other parts of the dash and interior. Kind of an accent color. It really does t look bad imho

Take a look at the finished product and feel free to comment.

Maye if it were dyed with a matching leather dye that matched the dash and center wheel cover, it would be terrific.

definitely turned out nice. looks good.

i wasn't sure if it affected the horn since it looks like it tucks behind the spokes in your one picture.

thanks for being the guinea pig.....glad it ended with great results.

just curious, you said it was listed for the LS460, but the wording you posted & the amazon site all say LX models (not LS). is that the one you purchased?

man I'm bad at stitching....how did you do it ? Looks very lean tho . Would it be easier if we remove the steering wheel and bring it inside and do it ?

Nope never said ls 460. Always looking lx470. The listing I posted was copied from Amazon's website. It also comes in black.
And let me stress the fact that it takes some patience to get it to look good and fit properly. The set up is very important

You know I didn't even think of removing the wheel. But yes I'm sure it would be a lot easier. Although pulling the stitches tight might be a problem if the wheel is flipping around. At one point I used my phone cam to see behind the rim to grab the stitches.
Like I said it's not perfection but it looks very nice imo.
