I'm at 191K on the original plugs, runs great and gets 27mpg on the highway so I'd say this interval can be stretched. I have some on-hand but haven't gotten around to doing them.

I don't doubt this at all. My 1998 Nissan wanted 60k changes per the manual, and suddenly, the 2000 went to 100k. I did the 1st at 58k, 2nd at 130k, and 3rd at 260k. lol And my fuel economy never got worse. As the resources get scarcer we will likely push more things to the actual replacement needed interval. I bet you there isn't a single documented timing belt failure on our cars at 90,000 or 90,000.1, and that they go 180k all day long. But then I say why chance it, to which Toyota says, oh what a feeling cha ching! Ditto with 5k oil changes I will never do that, way too soon. It's not just the money it's the natural resources. Look at my buddy running a business? 60k oil changes, and that's the upper limit of what Detroit Diesel recommends. It's not personal, it's business, as they say.
