i would like to do this also, I didn't even know there was a kit on Ebay. I will have to check it out. It would be a lot of labor, but I think it would really modernize the interior

You mean cheapen it? Modern cars don't come with wood in the interior because it's expensive.

Hey, I personally think it would not look good but at the end of the day its your car and your decision. In the worst-case, you hate it and would just peel it off!
Here is a little PS of your car with a grey interior. IMO I prefer your black/cherry wood combo!
If you do want a silver/ash wood color, find a written off LS with that color combo and swap our your interior parts (thats what I am looking to do soon...)
Good luck,
Yann

I like the wood in my LS Ultra, it suits the pure luxury and anti-sport personality of the car. There's a lot of CF on my Aston Martin Vantage, and I'd like to add some more CF to it down the road, but it just feels wrong in the LS to me.

Covering up the beautiful Yamaha hand crafted wood with cheap fake carbon fiber wrap would not only look ugly and out of place on these old Lexus', but it would be a total sin to do so.

It's hard to find the newer cars today using Real Wood. Of course it's personal taste, but I think our wood interiors that are well maintained are very rich looking. Let us know how it turns out and of course please post any pictures if you proceed.

That vividgrey might look nice. I watched a couple youtube videos on how to vinyl wrap interior pieces, it looks VERY time consuming. Plus, to do a really great job one would need to remove the part in question - which is probably not possible with the door and dash peices.
So spray paint, here I come !
