My 2004 LS430 with 150,000 miles has had a broken side mirror assembly for some time. Its the only thing that doesn't work on the car... currently. I couldnt adjust the mirrors mechanically so i had to manually adjust them and I'm quite sure that I broke something because now the whole mirror assembly is floppy, but it was that or not being able to see other drivers.
I have been looking endlessly for a part number for the motors that are inside of the side mirrors. I am looking to take apart my side mirror and replace these motors as I cannot use any adjustment functions on the mirror. Yes, I did try cleaning the circuit board contacts for the switch.
I found a part number for the motors on the door actuator lock: "BN635624", but I don't know if that part number is the same for the side mirror motors. Even if it is, I couldn't find any direct replacements online.

My drivers side mirror on my 05 was knocked off when the wind opened the garage closet door as I backed out. Found a used part for $400 online and a local shop put it on for $100. You can find excellent quality used side mirrors on google or your favorite search engine. I don't know which side of yours is broken, but they're are available and for half of what I paid years ago. Good luck.

Our mirrors are one of the few weak links to LS430 ownership to an otherwise remarkably reliable car. Make sure if you pick up a used one you get a warranty that it fully functions and of course factor in that you will most likely need to have it painted as well as installed. Good luck.
