Default LS430 stalling PLEASE HELP

Hello

I've got a 2003 LS430 with 188k on it. LPG converted.

The latest issue is that it suddenly stalls. I think it's getting worse because it stalls every other day.

I'll stop at the traffic lights or to give way and suddenly the car is off.

I was always under the assumption that automatics don't stall.

What do you think is up with it.?

Please help

Thanks

I don't know of many LPG converted LS' in the US, this may be a tricky one. So it only dies when it comes to an idle, after being driven?

Hi

That's right. It stalls when it comes to a stop at the traffic lights. I have noticed that the clock time always resets which I suspect might be an electric problem. I don't know. Just guessing.

There's no lights on the dash. When it stalls, it's totally dead for a second and then regains power in that the nav and radio start working.

Thanks

Clogged fuel filter? Faulty fuel pump?

By "regains power", did you mean the engine continues to run but the transmission disengaged and then reengaged?

Hi

The engine doesn't run. Just electrics come back to life. I know that because the sat nav screen comes back on. But the power cut is only for a second.

If you're stopped and the car is running, does accelerating in reverse cause the car to die?
I'll defo check the terminals after work. But isn't it the case that if the battery terminals were corrupted and the car dies then it indicates an alternator fault?

So I just checked the battery terminals and the + plus was slightly loose so I tightened it. The - negative was solid.

Not sure what's going on but hope this stalling issue gets solved soon.
