Almost certainly that is a Premium trim. Order of trims is Base (very rare) < premium < modern luxury < custom luxury (rare) < ultra luxury. Nav systems are for modern luxury trims and up.

The Philly car could be a good buy, depending on its service history, etc. The driver seat shows more wear than would be expected for the mileage though.

What the hell kind of comment is that? These cars are not BMW's or Mercedes.... My UL has 130k and it is amazing and even better the one owner gave me over 25 printed pages of work done at the Lexus dealership. If a car has 300k miles and was maintained religiously per the owners manual I would take that over a 80k I just drove it and did nothing to it car. More miles could mean more repairs but these cars are 14 years old and OLD cars can have more problems than new ones. My car may not be perfect but its dam beautiful....

Welcome and congrats on looking for an LS430! Keep researching and asking questions. In general...you will enjoy an LS430. If you get the chance...look for an 04.-06......mini face lift in 04 moving forward. That being said...if you find a clean earlier model....jump on it. Make sure you properly research each car before you decide to buy. Looks at everything...carfax, service history, number of owners, and if possible get an independent inspection. Expand your search radius across the country. I would rather pay a little in shipping or spend a little more to go get a clean car then settle for one close to me to save a few dollars and it not be what I wanted. Use craigslist, ebay, autotrader, cargurus and facebook for your research. As these cars get close to 100k, consider that it will need timing belt, water pump, tires, brakes etc...large expenses....so try to find one that has had that completed and/or get the purchase price discounted to help offset those costs.

I was thinking about this. When I was in HS, my parents had a 15 y.o. car, and I was literally ashamed. For pete's sake a classmate had a brand new GTI, his father a brand new Porsche. Even my own friends < 5 y.o. Mercedes and BMWs, and my parents, a 15 y.o. Buick and a 4 y.o. Toyota.
What's changed, seriously? A 2006 LS430 likely was mfg in 9/05, and therefore 14 years old. How come people want it, and are not as shallow as I was when in HS? lol
Because on average, nobody drives a car today more than 36 mos. old. But we do and do it proudly!

100% agree - my 06 still runs and drives like it is virtually new. Inside the car at idle with engine running and AC on, we can't hear or feel the engine running with 125k miles on it. Pretty amazing. I have owned lots of nice cars in the last almost 50 years of driving. Nothing else even comes close to the quality and reliability of a well cared for LS430.

I agree with most of you but I have found at 200k they start to need more major work for the first time. My Camry has 260k on it its such a lite care still untouched at 260k. The LS suspension will sag thats my biggest concern if I was buying any of these higher miled LS's. Both mine around 175 to 200 k started to sag. Then theres this steering wheel knock, both PITA things for me to fix for an older car. Some weird tire wear and unadjustable alignment but the handling gets better as it sags. I know yes any car will need work, just now its tires sterring wheel column, spring sag, so springs and struts. Am I gonna toss all this money in this car when there was a nice 2010 E350 with 4 matic 70k miles all the options garage kept for 11,700? Trans was just drained and full, 60k plugs etc was done.
There was a nice 2012 M37x for 12 grand just saying.
