Driver mirror not adjusting all the way in
On my 2004 LS 430, the driver mirror does not adjust all the way in (from left to right). Can hear a slight gear noise like the gear is slipping perhaps. After adjusted as far in as it goes, the next day, it's not in the same position. Other than buying an $800 mirror or finding a crap shoot in a junk yard, what are my (more economical) options? Many thanks!

I bought my LS with an aftermarket driver side mirror and it recently went bad in a similar fashion. I'd have to manually push the glass in for it to stay, and overnight it'd loosen itself again. The rack gear inside had broke along with some plastic retention piece. Cheap Chinese plastic will tend to do that lol
I went on eBay and bought an OEM mirror in the same color code from one of those salvage yard types (take apart cars and sell the parts on eBay). The mirror's in good condition and has been working great so far!
So, I'd try eBay for a bit more buyer protection or car-part.com for a bit more selection.
Make sure to confirm whether or not your mirror is an A or B type. Likely a B as it's a 2004.
