I took mine off the car and kept holding it open lol, no issues.

I do wonder if theres an idle reset procedure for our cars. I know my other car you unplug the TPS and turn the key on but dont start, then let it sit for a minute, plug it back in and start it and let it sit for 5 minutes. Im sure the lexus is smart enough to just relearn as you drive.

Yesterday I got a hot-hot idle of about 600-650rpm with ac off, right under the mark under 750rpm, still smooth but I was talking to myself saying "you better not drop lower". I just searched and found normal RPM is 600-800rpm so Im within that and its still smooth. Just have to see how it goes!

I did just find a post saying the TB should be cleaned every 30k miles. Lots of old posts saying they have a 400rpm idle with a slight engine shake, exactly what I was thinking.

Thumbs up re: idle problem

my 2005 ls430 had idle problems I cleaned throttle, a little better but not right, I was told to clean M.A.F. but with 187,000 miles on the clock I bought a New M.A.F. and WoW it fixed the idle problem it was like a total tune-up!!!! Try a new M.A.F., you might like the results.
