04' Lexus LS430 - External system is not connected
From 3 days my reverse camera and nav stopped working.
and when I am pressing the menu button it says External system is not connected.
When I start up the car, the Lexus start-up screen turns on. Then when it loads for a bit it turns black. When i hit the navi or menu button, a message pops up " External system is not connected"
I've checked all the fuse by the engine bay, the drivers and passenger's foot and they all come out to be good. Option / Climate / Audio button works and has a display on the screen, but no music/sound. My reverse camera is also not working. Parking sensors are working.
Anyone had the same problem and know how to fix the same

I've seen that message before when I unplugged the "blue" 6 pin connection from the DVD navigation system (right side of trunk near the amp). I was trying to tap into the video feed with another similiar connection and that message came up. So, it seems there may be a problem with your DVD feed which shows the map data.
I hope this points you in the right direction.
I have a 05 UL.
Thanks

Not long ago I had a similar occurrence though I don't remember that particular message. In my case the Lexus screen would come up when I turned the car on and then the screen went blank. The backupcamera didn't work, nor did the rear controls in the armrest.
Ultimately I found a fuse blown in the fuse panel in the trnk floor. I remember that it was a 7.5Amp fuse that was shown as being for the backup camera.
Hope this helps.
