At 175,000 miles, my 1999 LS400 uses more oil checking the oil than in 5,000 miles use.

Leaks or stopgap fixes are acceptable to some.

The grime it creates in and around the engine compartment is another matter.

Thanks for all the advice and comment. Since the leakage is not big and adding oil to the engine is a more reliable and safe option, I will not take the risk of adding the re-sealer until the problem gets worse and re-sealer is the last remedy to keep the car going apart from an engine overhaul.
