Just got a response:

"She is all original. Except for some wheel bearings. Its technically a two owner car. It was my father's he bought it in 02 with 15 thousand miles. Gave it to me with 411k, it's been a great car. I just fell for a ls460, who has the spot in the garage now. Dont be afraid to ask all the questions. I have most of the answers."

At that price, imho buy it and drive it until it stops working. The problem would be for states like mine which have annual emissions/safety inspections. Often that is what takes a car off the road, when the car still runs fine etc. That's problematic when the car is sold in a state with no inspections. What I mean is say that's a PA car. I would say let's take it to an inspection, I'm paying, as condition of sale. It doesn't pass, I'm out $60 and saved myself a problem. It passes, the inspection also served as a partial PPI and the car is good for the next year. my 02.

I would totally buy it and add to my LS collection but probably not at the price he’s asking. It has an evap code and o2 sensor code and as a general rule I shy away from cars with evap issues (still need to fix before registering in CT). I’m also pretty practical when it comes to car purchases which doesn’t lend itself too well to what would be a novelty buy like this anyway, lol. Wicked nice dude though. And yet another example of the god tier reliability these cars offer.

Yes, I think 300k is a milestone in itself but not a huge huge deal, 400k is another story.

I think (from experience lol) that O2 is a problem that should be addressed right away. EGR, EVAP, knock sensor, these don't turn on the MIL and "can" be ignored if one so chooses. On my Nissan the knock sensor was a given cut your hand to replace, so for a while I simply used 93 octane (the car has run its entire life on 87 when premium recommended), until I could replace it. EGR is a PITA, as in a useless device causing $$$ on some cars....

edit from memory EGR does in fact turn on the MIL, that's why it's a PITA, having to address something that doesn't have any ill effect on the car itself....now I remember dealing with that handle like pipe on the back of my Nissan what a joke cleaning that out

Wow, nice car. If it was dent-less and perfect cosmetically I would buy it and swap my subframes and driveline into it.

Now 800 I would do but I wouldn’t offer him something so low without him lowering his asking first

Very interesting car! Sort of similar to the one I bought for $1500, but mine has 1/2 the miles. I still daily it, even though it has a few issues.
