Finally Scored the Wheels I've always wanted ... now need some advice
I have been looking for a set of reasonably priced 5 Spokes for over a year.. and today was the day! I am so pumped!
Found a set less than 1 hour from me for $300! I immediately messaged the guy and got them today. they are in pretty good shape, and even have good Continental tires on them. to boot. One of the wheels has some weird bubbling of it's finish, see pictures. I am guessing these came from a northern / salt state car and maybe that damaged the finish on one. I think I can sand it down and re-paint it. I know Silver is a hard color to match. Has anyone had any experience finding a matching spray paint for the OEM 5 Spokes?
Thanks !!

My fear on all this stuff is the counterfeits. Even knock offs have the JWL symbol on them. That's one of the reasons I've kept mine even though they look like the one in the pics. Meaning bad looks > safety...
The spare in the trunk is brand new to the grease markings from the factory. It seems to maybe be hyper....

I did a lot of Googling last night about it, and apparently the Hypersilver ones were an option ( I believe if the person ordered the upgrade through the dealer after the sale ). So Hypersilver ones are less common. Aparently the paint process for HyperSilver is complex, so it's going to be really difficult to find anything that can match it from a spray can. There really isn't much info out there about them .

The only correct answer is that they will need to be sand blasted and powder coated. The LS430 wheels and just Toyota alloy wheels in general seem to corrode the quickest. If you do anything short of a professional level paint job it's just not worth it. The beads will slowly start leaking and the finish will degrade quick.

Agreed with Peacebay.. The bead may have corrosion, so you should at the very least, demount the tires and prep them for paint.
