Default Just purchased a 05 LS430! Have a few questions about the memory seat.

Hey ClubLexus, I just purchased a black 04 LS430 and have a few questions about the memory seat. I tried to reset the memory seat but every time I get in the car the seat decides to move forward. I have tried to set it with the memory buttons as well as disconnect the battery, but the seats still moves forward and the mirrors adjust every time I get in the car. Is there a specific trick to this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

See "MEMORY CALL SYSTEM USING A SMART KEY" in your owners manual for how to make the needed changes. It looks like one of the memory positions is tied to the key or fob you are using.

Thank you very much Kansas. The fob was connected via memory.

For anybody searching for this issue it is easy to resolve. With the car off and the door shut hold the specific memory button either 1, 2 or 3 down first while you hold the unlock button on the specific smart key remote. When it beeps it is set. Don’t forget to set your searing, mirrors, and steering wheel prior to doing this step.

This feature was implemented over the years on all vehicles with driver seat memory made by Toyota ... Lexus GS, ES, IS, etc.,Toyota RAV4, Avalon, Highlander, Sienna, etc.
