Help - 2002 LS 430 Engine Stalling?
Hi, my engine is stalling mostly after I've been driving a little, and only when I'm not giving it any gas. If I constantly give it a little gas, even when stopped, it seems to prevent the issue. This is annoying though and I'm concerned it's not good for the engine, but I don't know enough to really be sure. I thought initially it had to do with my spark plugs, because when I was getting my oil changed they said that was probably what the issue was, and when I got the codes run they said all my cylinders were misfiring. I took it into a mechanic and they replaced the spark plugs and also replaced leaking caps that were letting oil get into the plugs. The car definitely runs smoother now but it still kicks every so often and I'm still experiencing the stalling issue.
My question is, what could be causing this? Is it urgent that I take it into a mechanic or am I safe to put it off a little while?

I would start by cleaning the throttle body and the MAF, resetting the codes, then drive it and see what codes come back. If you list the codes it is much easier to diagnose a problem with the factory diagnostic flow charts.

And make sure yourself that the valve cover tube seals were actually changed buy removing and checking the coils for oil. If they just cleaned it and charged you for replacement that's a big issue.
