Poor AM and FM radio reception
Ever since I bought my car ('05 with Mark Levinson sound) a few years ago I have been dissatisfied with the AM and FM radio reception - it's poor, noticeably worse than the reception of the stock radio in my VW's and F-250. I can barely pick up the stations in Seattle 35 miles away as the crow flies, and they go in and out as I drive around or get farther away. Is this normal and if not what can I do to fix this?

If you have decent cell phone service where you drive, a healthy data plan and if you have an aux-in or Bluetooth interface in your LS430, you can stream a high percentage of radio stations from the Internet. There's a Bluetooth interface from VAIS that might work for you: https://www.vaistech.com/product/sl3b-l/
We stream local Kansas City radio stations from the Tunein radio service regardless of where we are - in our own vehicles, in rental cars, in hotel rooms, etc. Sound quality is usually excellent. For example, when we were in Seattle for a week last year, I streamed my wife's favorite Kansas City radio station from my Android phone to a portable Bluetooth speaker every morning in our hotel room while we got ready to go out.
I just looked up about ten random Seattle/Tacoma radio stations in the Tunein app on my Android phone and found them all!
