Default TOM'S Edition LS430

Currently I'm stationed in Japan, more so Yokohama right outside of Tokyo. Besides the culture the food and a beautiful atmosphere I've been able to collect a plethora a car parts for my UCF 31. I decided while I'm out here I needed a clear focus If I'm going to theme my car, how should I do it so I chose to do a Tom's edition LS430. After research and understanding that all the parts and additions that I wanted are no longer being reproduced. I would have to switch to Yahoo Japan and other sources to acquire them. This is my journey thus far one year later.

I started by doing some research on the supercharger created by Tom's finding my specific year make and model - 3k on Yahoo auction jp. The interesting part was I actually got a chance to drive the car The kit was installed on and it is very responsive it's surpassed my expectations.

My plans for this kit and engine mods, are to add headers and a portmap everything That's about as extensive as I want to go right now. New upgraded intercooler as well.

Next to dress up the engine bay I found and sourced two other parts that were near to impossible to find which is the Tom's carbon fiber engine cover and Tom's carbon fiber intake cover.

Next next I decided I needed a set of wheels not just any wheels but Tom's I searched for quite a bit and found two sets that I liked

19" 5x114.3 500.00 shipped
Un unfortunately I have four sets of rims right now
Two sets of Tom's the other being 18"
HRE 22s - for my suv
Autocouture 20
soon to come stock Toyota Celsior 18 chrome

Awesome. You will have a very unique 430. Would love to see a video of the completed work and some dyno numbers when you get it put together.

Epic score. Definitely the holy grail of things to get for the LS430.

The Tom's body pieces are always on YAJ. I never cared for the styling of them though. There are quite a few suspension pieces from Tom's, but they are all used and pretty pricey, even in Japan. The supercharger kit, tuned ECU, and cluster are the holy grail parts. The complete SC kit never comes up and if you need any small parts, I don't think Tom's is going to help you at all. It lists an 18 hour install time for the kit and only brings the output to 354 horse power. Tom's also recommends using their exhaust or an aftermarket exhaust in conjunction with the kit. You do need a tuned ECU, either the Tom's one or have the stock one tuned by Tom's, if they will still even do it.

It would be cool to have the SC kit but if you're actually in Japan, your best bet might be to find a car that already has it equipped. I have seen several cars come available with it as well as other Celsiors that have extensive tuning.

Good luck with your search and keep the updates coming!

I actually had a chance to grab the Tom's cluster but the price was way too much in my opinion
