I feel as if Lexus took a great design and sharpened it even more for 2004...Can't imagine how the 2007's will look...

sorry to say,,,,, I had a 2001 ls430. I now have an 04 LS 430.... SO far the 2001 was the better car by a land slide....
I got stuck when the fuel pump crapped out.
the tranny had to be replaced ( recall)
then the fuel pump had to be repaced again ( recall)
the car has NEVER been as smooth as my 2001 ( see throttle tip up on this board)
Now they tell me the tranny has to be reprogramed to smooth it out ( throttle tip up)
& now they are changing the DVD in my Navigation system. ( some recall thing)
Now I realize these thing happen,,,,,BUT they have never happened to a lexus of mine before.
This is our 5th one..... If I knew then what i know now, I MIGHT have kept the 01 ls.
It was THE best car I have Ever had..... This one does not measure up...........yet.

well, to be frank, that's why i didn't consider the 04 when it first came out. there is always a danger when a car first came out, i always try to avoid that.

hopefully you won't need to get your car in anymore though

but for me, i would still choose 04+ any day

Get the shift pattern software update - it makes a big difference.

There's no doubt that the '04 is much better IMO, especially after driving it at '" Taste of Luxury " event.

I too will be looking for a CPO '03 or '04 when I return for Afghanistan. Is there a list of the improvement between the years?

Is it safe to assume that the 18" wheel package comes with the sports suspension?

re: the 18s, I believe there was a rumor that you could get them as a no cost option for 2005.

Anyone?

They are a $220 option on everything but the sport suspension; $1920 for the chrome version.
