2002 ls430 side mirror advice needed
Hi,
Suddenly my passenger side mirror died. It still folds/unfolds, but no U/D, nor L/R.
If I understand correctly those movements are controlled by two different motors.
I find it unlikely they both died at the same time.
Is there a separate fuse feeding just them or is there only one power circuit for all the motors?
Replaced controlling switch but that didn't fix it.
Perhaps somebody would be so kind to share an electrical diagram?
Please advise.
TIA

Suggest you remove switch &
check for power to switch,
(if that's possible).
oops: you say that you do have power to switch. Ok - now try to
determine which wires go from switch to bad mirror. Operate switch and check for power out to bad mirror. At least you will know if power is going OUT to bad mirror. Then try to determine if you are getting power at the
mirror. PS - the mirror pops out.
I am not sure how to access wires at the mirror motor.
Good Luck

Thank you,
Mirror fold/unfolds - means the power goes to its motor.
L/R and UP/DN doesn't work.
Since both of those motors unlikely died at the same time - I am suspecting its
power is supplied by a different circuit. Fuse?
Hence the question: does the switch provides power or just a "control signal"?
If so that could be a different problem. Please note - I replaced the switch with the known good one.
If somebody has a wiring diagram, I would appreciate a copy, so that can be determined.
TIA
