Dead Radio But Tape Works (Non ML System)
Recently purchased a 2002 LS430. Fantastic car. I go to try the Radio and it flickers for a split second when you press the volume/on button but wont turn on. Slide a tape fm transmitter in the unit connected to my phone and it powers up. Sound works great..no issues. This is the non Mark Levinson System/No navigation. The guy I bought it from stated that the battery had recently been replaced. I searched the manual and it shows nothing about a radio code. Is there a fix for this? Thanks in advance.

I've had 2 factory radios do the same thing. I'm pretty sure it means the tuner has failed. Replacing the head unit with another factory one won't fix it as the tuner itself is in the trunk.
