My preference is the 460 overall. Don't get me wrong, I come from many years of driving classic Cadillac's as daily drivers, I love the classic feel of the 430. They are two very different cars though. If you love the classic big car feel, the 430 will be your preference. If you like the edgy styling, better handling, tighter to the road feel, the 460 is it.

I greatly enjoy both cars. Minor gripe with the 430 is the cheap plastic for the headlight, wiper and entertainment system. That cheap silver/grey plastic just doesn't belong in an otherwise impeccably interior. In my experience, it doesn't hold up well either. This is a minor disappointment as I love everything else about the car.

I have not found even a minor gripe with my 460.

Just incredibly good looking. I've got the Cypress Pearl, but I think I'm going to have to get one in each color lol.....

Thanks for the comment. You may notice i have 17" wheels. I swapped out the 18's for a quieter / softer ride. If you are thinking of different wheels check out this link of OEM wheels that will fit your car. Some of the GS wheels are nice IMO.

My '04 has it's original 17" rims and 6 spoke hubcaps. (Just bought it a week ago) At first, I was a bit disappointed that it did not have 18" wheels. But the more I've read about the smoother ride you get on the 17's, the happier I am. I bought the car for it's ride more than a sportier look. Now on to finding snow tires in about 3 months. I'm going to get the Bridgestone Blizzak WS90 tires AND find space to store the All seasons...
I will check out that wheel link, thanks.

Hard to swallow a little. I ran the numbers through Kelly for a 05 LS 430 with 20,000 and every option in excellent condition and it gave a private party range of $10,800 to $13,000. Dealer would be worse.

You truly really, really wanted this.

It looks great.

Wow nice find! Hard to find these with low miles and good condition with proper service. A couple weeks ago a 2006 Ultra Luxury with 25K miles popped up by me for $15,000 and was gone in a matter of days. The good ones go fast!

Ah---the KBB value. Private sellers ignore it, dealerships scoff at it. I'm not really sure why anyone puts stock in it. I just sold a car privately here in Chicago for almost TWICE what KBB thinks the car is worth in a private sale and I still had people clamoring for the car after it sold. (I just wanted it gone and was happy with the price) Cars sell for what the market will bear. If any of us found that car for 11-13K we would have been thrilled...IF we could have found one. Yes, he wanted the car and more power to him. Enjoy!

I have to add... yeah, kbb isn’t even what insurance companies look for at payout (maybe to talk you off a ledge); while I don’t agree on exaggerated prices (for anyone looking for a land cruiser or Tacoma), with older cars there is no merit for KBB. KBB will asume risk and deferred maintenance (assuming the car is rust full from Chicago and TB not done) so you don’t get bamboozled and it stays within range of “auction price”. For something like the above, you have to take into account the comps... for $20k what can you buy? If the maintenance is up to date on this car ($2 or $3k for TB, filters, brakes + fluids, etc etc)... this car is good for 200k in comfort and no compromise. A Camry will get you there for the same price, newer, and more fuel efficient... but does anyone in this forum want to get caught dead in a Camry?

beautiful and no doubt in great shape. congrats.
hopefully you're not planning to drive it much, otherwise that 20k value will drop to 10k or worse real quick.
