Default Beware moog hubs

Just installed two new Moog hubs on my '06 and they are already broken. I'm hoping I can get a refund. They ysed to be made in Japan by the OE manufacturer, but now come from China. Garbage. Shelling out for the OE hubs.

Beware of Moog anything, or any suspension parts that are not OEM, in my experience. The stuff may fit, but it will not last long

Yeap, this exactly matches my experience with 2 Moog hubs. Stay away!

Ever since they moved away from US production the quality has tanked, Timken is still very good though

Once reputable brands have been plagued by quality issues as a result of overseas sourcing.
I think of the millions of living wage United States manufacturing jobs that were sent offshore...and then to Countries (one in particular) who attempt to do nothing but screw us...and that has been going on long before the mess created by Covid pandemic.

Another vote for Timken.

Some Moog stuff is fine. Got some Moog tie rod pieces recently for the ES330 and they were rebadged 555 parts, made in Japan. Just hit or miss though...

replaced my OEM with Beck/arnley and after 18 months and 35000km, the wheel bearing is shot. Paid the extra and Went with Timken this time around.

For anyone not familiar with Timken hubs they are pressed with a KOYO bearing. KOYO is the OE hub manufacturer

I’ve replaced both front and rear passenger side axle hubs. I Went with Koyo which was an identical match with what came out. It was years ago without a hitch.

Absolutely, it's very disappointing and makes finding and knowing a manufacturer that makes good parts and will remain such very hard.

I just discovered this today when changing out my steering rack bushings and trying to figure out where some vibration was coming from. I used a Moog hub to replace the passenger side hub on mine about 10-11 months ago, not realizing they had stopped using Koyo bearings. It only has 14K miles on it and it already has got decent felt movement when shaking the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock. Yay, hoping they'll refund it as well, but I'll be using Timken or Koyo from now on.

Where did you purchase your replacement hub assembly?

Based on reports in the LS400 and LS430 forum, Moog has sold (through its supply chain partnets) inferior replacement parts.

A wheel bearing should last at least 100,000 miles...

Why should customers have to suffer the thinking whether Moog replacement part is going to fail prematurely??

The solution then is to not buy from Moog.

The corporate mother does not love.

Autozone, got it cheaper than anywhere else thanks to a 15% off discount code they were running when I bought it.
